When to start: at least 2 months out.
Step 2: Consider Repairs & Improvements
Your Realtor will do a walkthrough of your home and make note of any features, rooms, or areas that require attention. Sometimes, the simplest repairs, minor renovations, and touch-ups can add significant value to your home. Additionally, if you know of any maintenance problems or issues with your home, you will want to fix them well before you start showing your home.
Some easy ways to improve your home’s value can include painting (inside and outside), replacing old or tarnished hardware in your kitchen, bathroom, and on your doors, improving your landscaping, updating or refinishing flooring, and fixing roofing and siding.
When to start: 6 to 8 weeks out.
Step 3: Determine Your Selling Price
